Complete guide to setting up and managing your attendance system

System Setup

1 Install Hardware & Software

  1. Download and install the fingerprint reader driver
  2. Install the latest version of BMO HRM System Software
  3. Connect the fingerprint reader to the attendance system

2 Employee Registration

  1. Launch and login to the BMO Attendance application
  2. Employee details will sync automatically
  3. Register fingerprints on the tablet (2 per employee)

Note: Uncheck magnetic and fingerprint scanner in settings for new enrollments.

Attendance Configuration

Create and define rules for each attendance type:

  1. Go to Employee > Attendance > Attendance Type
  2. Set rules like "fault if later" for check-in
  3. Set rules like "fault if earlier" for check-out
  4. Save each attendance type configuration

View and manage the full attendance list:

  1. Access Employee > Attendance > Attendance List
  2. View synced attendance records
  3. Make adjustments as needed

Generate comprehensive attendance reports:

  1. Navigate to Employee > Attendance > Attendance Summary
  2. View detailed attendance records
  3. Export to Excel for tracking and reporting

Multi-Branch Management

BizCloud HRM simplifies attendance management for companies with multiple locations (e.g., Penang, Malacca, Selangor).

Creating Employee Groups

  1. Create groups for each location (e.g., "Penang", "Malacca")
  2. Assign employees to appropriate groups in their profiles

Location-Specific Holidays

Set public holidays for each employee group:

  • Only applicable to the specified location group
  • System blocks leave applications on holidays
  • Shows non-working days in attendance reports

Holiday Leave Restrictions

Employees cannot apply for leave on their location's public holidays. The system displays: "You are not working on this day" if attempted.

Advanced Features

Map View with GPS Coordinates

When employees submit attendance via mobile app:

  1. Admin logs in at login.bmo.my
  2. Go to Attendance List
  3. Search by employee name and date
  4. Click Map link to view location
  5. See GPS coordinates on Google Maps

This feature improves field staff accountability and saves operational time.

Modify Timesheet Records

Admins can adjust attendance records:

  1. Login at login.bmo.my
  2. Go to Attendance List
  3. Search for specific records
  4. Click Edit to modify
  5. Adjust times, types, or add/delete records
  6. Save changes
