Assessment Module

1. Introduction

The Assessment module in BMO HRM Suite provides a flexible platform for knowledge evaluation, skill testing, and KPI performance tracking. It allows administrators to create question banks, build question sets, assign assessments, and analyze results.

2. System Access
2.1 Web Portal
  • Login to the BMO HRM web portal.
  • Navigate to Menu > Assessment to access assessment features.
3. Question Bank Management
3.1 Create Question Categories
  • Go to Menu > Assessment > Question Category.
  • Add main and sub-categories (e.g., HRM > e-Leave, Payroll).
3.2 Add Questions
  • Navigate to Menu > Assessment > Question List.
  • Add questions manually or use Bulk Insert Questions to upload via CSV.
3.3 Question Attributes
  • Include question text, multiple-choice options, correct answer(s), and explanation.
  • Tag by category for easier retrieval.
4. Create Assessment Sets
4.1 Manual Creation
  • Go to Menu > Assessment > Add Set.
  • Define: Set Name & Course Name, Description/Instructions (HTML supported), Completion Time, Question Order, Display Answer Mode, Retry Options
4.2 Random Question Pick
  • Click New Set > Random Pick Questions.
  • Select source category and number of questions.
  • The system will auto-generate the set.
5. Assigning Assessments
5.1 Assign Set to Employees
  • Go to Menu > Assessment > Set List > Assign.
  • Choose employee(s) or department.
  • Schedule: Daily, Specific Date, Monthly, or Interval
5.2 Copy Schedules
  • Go to Menu > Assignment > Assign Set.
  • Use Copy Schedule to apply same plan to multiple employees.
6. Assessment Access
6.1 User Access
  • Employees access via Menu > Assessment > My Assignment.
  • If set is public, users can access using a shared access key URL.
6.2 Live Testing & Knowledge Transfer
  • Useful for: Staff training, Knowledge retention during turnover, Ongoing skill development
7. Marking & Results
7.1 View Responses
  • Navigate to Menu > Assessment > Set List > Marking.
  • Review responses and export to Excel.
7.2 KPI Reviews
  • Use subjective questions for KPI evaluation.
  • Conduct yearly or quarterly assessments.
8. Notifications & Reports
8.1 Notifications
  • Use Menu > Message > Send Message to notify employees.
  • Select delivery method: Email, SMS, WhatsApp, or Mobile App.
8.2 Result Reports
  • Export assignment and response summaries from Set List.
  • Use Excel format for analysis.
9. Best Practices
  • Organize questions into logical categories.
  • Randomize sets for unbiased results.
  • Use instant feedback for training; disable for exams.
  • Regularly review question bank and update outdated content.
